Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Northbridge Software LLC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information in connection with the nbsoftware.net website and Northbridge services.
1. Information we collect
When you interact with the website or engage with Northbridge, we may collect: name; business name; email; phone (when voluntarily provided); inquiry, project, proposal, consultation, and support communications; materials you upload or submit; technical device and browser information; IP address; analytics and interaction data; authentication data for authorized administrative users; and billing and transaction metadata associated with purchases, invoiced engagements, payments, and refunds.
We do not intentionally collect information from children under 13 through this website.
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries; prepare proposals; schedule consultations; provide support; evaluate project fit; deliver services; maintain security; prevent abuse; improve website performance; maintain business records; comply with legal obligations; and, when applicable, process payments and refunds.
3. Service providers
We rely on service providers to operate the website and business. Current categories include hosting and infrastructure; database and authentication; email and communications; website analytics (Google Analytics 4, for aggregate traffic and engagement measurement, and Microsoft Clarity, for aggregate session-behavior insights such as scroll and click patterns); third-party font or asset delivery (including Google Fonts) where used; and payment processing for online purchases (currently our NMI payment gateway), which captures and processes payment-card information.
We do not list a provider that we do not actually use.
4. Cookies, analytics, and marketing identifiers
The website uses necessary technical storage and two analytics providers: Google Analytics 4 (aggregate traffic, page, and engagement measurement) and Microsoft Clarity (aggregate session behavior such as scroll depth and click patterns). Google Consent Mode v2 is used, and optional analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until you choose otherwise. Microsoft Clarity is not loaded unless you grant Analytics consent. When consent is denied, Google may still receive limited cookieless measurement and consent signals but does not write analytics or advertising cookies.
You may accept, reject, or later change your choice using the Cookie Settings control in the website footer; that choice is saved locally in your browser and contains only the consent version, category selections, and a timestamp. Personalized advertising and remarketing are not enabled. Northbridge does not sell personal information and does not send form content or customer contact details to analytics providers. See the Cookie Policy for details.
When you arrive from a marketing campaign, the site may temporarily store campaign parameters in your browser's session storage (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, and, where applicable, a Microsoft Advertising click identifier known as msclkid). These identifiers are cleared automatically when you close the browser tab. If you submit a legitimate inquiry, sanitized values may be attached to that inquiry record so we can understand which campaigns drive genuine business conversations. We do not associate these identifiers with names, email addresses, phone numbers, or the free-text content of your message inside our analytics systems.
5. Payment information
Payment and card information is collected directly by our payment gateway (currently NMI) through its secure payment fields. Northbridge may receive transaction information such as customer name, email, billing details, payment status, amount, payment-method type, and limited card information such as brand and last four digits. Northbridge does not collect or store complete card numbers or security codes in its own application database.
6. How we share information
We share information with service providers acting on our behalf under contractual protections; with parties you direct us to interact with; where required by law or valid legal process; to protect rights, property, or safety; and in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, with reasonable notice where practical.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as it is needed to provide services, support customers, maintain accounting and tax records, address security concerns, defend or bring legal claims, and satisfy other legitimate business-record purposes. Retention periods vary by data category and applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Additional information about our security posture is published on the Trust Center. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your rights and requests
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email support@nbsoftware.net. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
We may retain information as required by law or contract, and we will explain any applicable limitation in our response.
10. International visitors
Information may be processed in the United States or in other locations where Northbridge or its service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date and last-updated date at the top of the page identify the current version.
12. Contact
Privacy questions or requests may be sent to support@nbsoftware.net.
